Royal Windsor Tour

His Majesty's footboards march through royal Windsor after the guard change

Royal Windsor Tour

Windsor Castle has been the home of our kings and queens for 900 years. It is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It is a palace within a castle and one of The King’s official residences. Enjoy a guided tour of the castle precincts and St George’s Chapel, which is the spiritual home of the Order of the Garter, our highest order of chivalry. Visit the State Apartments and Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House. After a break for lunch your Royal Windsor tour will continue as we explore Windsor on a walking tour and perhaps even cross the bridge over the River Thames to go into Eton to see Eton College where 20 prime ministers have been educated and also Prince William and Prince Harry.

There will be the chance to watch the guard change on days that this is scheduled.

This is a rare opportunity to spend a day in Windsor and to explore this charming town as well as the Castle. Most tours combine Windsor with one or even two other places which means there is no time to explore the town and the Castle tour often feels very rushed. I grew up in Windsor and would love to show you my home town.
